The student, Jorge Villalba Guardia from 5th grade, accepted the challenge to participate in this year’s Literary Contest hosted by the Superintendency of Catholic Schools (SEC).
With the help of his teacher, Miss Astrid Esquilín, the student wrote a short story called “The Incident”. Jorge’s story was submitted to compete against 2 other schools in Puerto Rico.
The student’s story won first place in the category of Short Story Level I for 4th to 6th grade students.
Jorge will be receiving a printed version of his story, “The Incident”. His story will also be published in the SM Foundation Bulletin and on the Superintendency’s website.
